Our Involvement

Knightsbridge House involved the innovative use of post-tensioned concrete in a residential structure.

This included the basement raft foundation designed not only to support the structure and pool but also to withstand the hydrostatic forces due to the construction level being below the tidal influence. In fact, the structure was future-proofed to allow for a potential rise in sea levels and any associated storm surges.

The use of post-tensioning Allowed larger spans and cantilevers to be achieved with clean, flat soffits.
