The K1-P Performing Arts building located at the Sippy Downs campus of the University of Sunshine Coast provides a precinct for music and performance.
Construction of a new performing arts building with AV equipment, storage, music, and performance recording and editing facilities. The recording rooms sit inside an isolated suspended concrete box supported by a suspended concrete slab.
The structure also consisted of steel portal frames forming the primary performing space, with a reinforced concrete mezzanine level and soundproof recording rooms requiring double block walls and roof slabs with acoustic insulation between to achieve required sound insulation ratings.
