Redland Council have undertaken an upgrade of the pedestrian links on North Stradbroke Island, recently completing new sections of boardwalk connecting Snapper St to the North Gorge Walk.
EDGE provided construction services and inspections for the installation of this new boardwalk. During the process, storms also washed-out sections of the existing boardwalk. EDGE provided the design for the boardwalk repair, including new foundations and structural framing. Due to the project’s location, the designer had to consider the equipment available to complete the work and the limited site access to plants and materials.
