The new build structure is located East of the river Mersey’s banks and sited next to Saint Bernadette’s church in Stockport. After exploring several options, we implemented a load-bearing masonry structure for the two-storey residential block, with steel beams and precast planks forming the open plan living and communal spaces required at ground floor level.
We also delivered a drainage scheme on the project, which sought to minimise the rainwater runoff from site by implementing SuDS measures for feeding planters as well as other SuDS measures.
