Our involvement

Working with Lewisham Gateway Developments and Muse Developments, John Sisk & Son was appointed to deliver four 16 to 26-storey towers – creating a 900-home, retail, and leisure scheme.

The £250m scheme which is one of the biggest regeneration projects in South-East London, is land-locked by London’s busiest road and rail network and is dissected by two rivers.

Initially appointed to value engineer the full structures, we utilised post-tension solutions, and by doing so were able to significantly reduce the slab thickness and create energy and cost savings.

Following our re-engineering work, John Sisk & Son asked us to support in the diversion of the two rivers. Using a sheet piled wall, we were able to divert the flow of the two rivers and by using hydraulic modelling for the four towers, we guaranteed a restricted flow rate of surface water, allowing discharge into the Ravensbourne River. By culverting a section of the river, a new public realm space to enhance the local area was also designed.

Phase one of this project is now complete, with phase two due in 2023.
