The Foundation Precinct, also known as Nathan Residences, is part of a first-of-its-kind 6-star luxury retirement village located in Parnell, Auckland. This high-end complex, called The Foundation, will initially consist of 2 buildings housing 116 apartments within the 2.5-hectare precinct at the corner of Parnell Road & Maunsell Road. Construction of Stage-1 commenced in mid-2020 and was completed following the start of Stage-2.
EDGE partnered with the project engineers, providing our structural design services from the concept stage through to construction monitoring. The scope of works included the design and coordination of the concrete slabs and beams, incorporating the use of post-tensioning to cater for complexities like 11m clear spans and transfer columns.
